Hamilton Zoo – So raising awareness and celebrating them is a big deal

Friday is World Lemur Day!

Endemic to Madagascar, there is a high risk of these awesome guys becoming extinct due to deforestation and loss of habitat. So raising awareness and celebrating them is a big deal.

Here at the Zoo we have 17 ring-tailed lemurs and seven black & white ruffed lemurs. Get up close with our lemurs on a Face2Face encounter at 11.30am this Saturday and Sunday - $15 per person. 10% goes towards helping endangered animals in the wild through the Hamilton Zoo Conservation Fund. Get in early, spaces are limited and tickets only purchased on the day.
