Shift Management & Serving the Customer
Supervise shifts including performing opening and closing shifts and all daily routines in accordance with store policy and procedures, checklists and trading hours.
Coordinates and performs all day-to-day crew duties including serving customers, clearing tables, dishwashing, restocking fridges, bins, Toilets etc.
As a senior team member, ensure the store is properly stocked with all necessary menu items and order/replace any products needed in a timely manner whilst monitoring product wastage and cogs in line with store sales.
Provide efficient and friendly service to all customers, visitors and contractors.
Carry out direct customer service and food preparation duties as required.
Set a high example for staff to follow with a ‘lead from the front’ approach by working hard to ensure efficient
restaurant operations. When in doubt about an issue, seek to find answers from a more senior manager.
Ensure team members maintain a high standard of store and equipment cleanliness.
Ensure team members wear the full uniform and are appropriately groomed each day.
Provide clear direction and assistance to the crew to support them in their-role.
Demonstrate patience and a positive attitude with the team while delegating tasks and giving instructions.
Work with the team to take on board customer feedback and resolve any complaints in a timely, friendly and
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in food preparation to increase speed of service.
Take the initiative to immediately report any identified risks relating to safety, hygiene standards or security to the
Management team and perform short-term solutions.
Assist with the implementation of any new products to the outlet as discussed with the management team.
Ensure product recall and withdrawal from sale procedures are carried promptly and efficiently.
Complete credit processing forms as required and liaise with suppliers to resolve short supply issues.
Support the management team to arrange rosters and roster coverage in the event of shift changes/ staff sickness
Communicate feedback to the management team to keep them informed of issues during the shift e.g.
staffing, customer complaints, food quality, safety, service routine suggestions etc.
