Golf Update
Hastings member Annabelle Absolom has won the Hawke's Bay & Manawatu BMW Golf Cup International Qualifying Tournament that was held at Manawatu Golf Club on Friday 8th September 2017.

With around 100,000 amateur golfers from about 50 countries competing worldwide, the BMW Golf Cup International is the most renowned and largest international tournament series for amateurs.

As a winner of her category, Annabelle, along with other category winners from the Qualifying Tournament are invited to participate in the New Zealand final, to be held at Millbrook Resort, Queenstown, on Monday 22nd January 2018. And if Annabelle has another superb day like she did on Friday in very difficult windy conditions she might be able to join the other New Zealand winners to progress through to the 2017 BMW Golf Cup International World Final which is being held in South Africa in March 2018.

James Ridley, Dealer Principal of Hawkes Bay & Manawatu BMW, club member and Albatross sponsor of the club was thrilled to see Annabelle do so well and will be travelling down to Millbrook to support her and the other winners, but also to try to win the hotly contested Dealer Cup.

The format for the tournament is a stableford competition with Annabelle scoring not only a dominating win with 39 points, but she also won the nearest the pin to round off a superb day.
